This is geared toward psychologists and not a medical textbook. Also includes excellent information on various forms of biofeedback. Close to a 1000 pages so considered a reference manual.
Principles and Practice of Stress Management, Third Edition
This is a book I wish I knew about at the start of my graduate level training. An excellent therapist manual that details common therapeutic techniques used in Health Psychology and Behavioral Medicine for the management of stress and anxiety. Includes a diverse range of topics, such as autogenic training, progressive muscle relaxation, hypnosis, neurofeedback, biofeedback, and breathing retraining.
The Coherent Heart: Heart-Brain Interactions, Psychophysiological Coherence, and the Emergence of System-Wide Order. This e-book summarizes the state of the art of Heartmath HRV research. A more thorough and technical explanation of HRV and coherence that includes a review of the 6 modes (heart rhythm patterns) identified so far. Essential reading for any clinician or researcher interested in HRV.

The premier book for heart rate variability (HRV). Thoroughly explains the physical, psychological, and physiological effects of HRV. Geared toward professionals, but also a very accessible book for the general public. The authors are great people too! Highly recommended.
